Founded in 2004 by Sarah Adams, Sarah Adams Studio has been a highly sucessful studio for students of all ages and abilities. She is a mother of three and an operatic soprano, but shenteaches students in all styles from pop to opera and beyond. A major focus of her graduate work was on the contemporary and broadway styles of singing (CCM).

Sarah is also known for her ability to work with those with special needs. She uses the experience and insight she has gained while raising her autistic son and tries to reach the student where they are and tailor their lessons around their unique abilities.

Sarah holds a bachelor of arts degree in vocal performance and a masters in music specializing in voice. She also has trained with the Bel Canto Vocal Institute and performed for opera directors from Indianna University

Sarah has performed many operatic roles and oratorio solos - Mozart's Queen of the Night, Bernstien's Cunnegonde from Candide, Susanna from Carlile Floyd's Susanna, Olympia, Mozart's Susanna, Brunhilde, Tiana, Hande's Messiah soprano solos, Gabriel from Haydn's Creation, and more.

She has also been a violisnist for over 30 years and brings her experiences of playing in multiple orchestras and symphonies, as well as playing in the oprchestra pit for many well-known musicals - some being Tigard Philharmonic, Western Oregon University Jazz Orchestra, Western Oregon University Symphony, Brigadoon, Music Man, Kiss Me Kate, Into the Woods, and Crazy For You. Her educational philosophy doesn't fall into any one method. She uses Suzuki Method for some aspects, but mostly just creates custom plans for each students strengths, needs, and personal learning style.

As of this last year, she has added private art lessons to her schedule. She is trained in colored pencil painting, graphite drawing, and watercolor. Her main specialties are colored pencil and drawing. You can find some of her work in the gallery on this page.
